Treble Raises $18M Series A Extension for Voice Simulation

Iceland-based Treble has secured $18 million in an extension of its Series A funding round, led by Paladin Capital Group. The investment included participation from existing investors KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, EIC, and Omega ehf. This latest funding follows a $12 million investment the company received in 2024, bringing Treble’s total capital raised to date to over $40 million.

Founded in 2020 by acoustic engineers Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, Treble has developed a voice simulation platform that serves the rapidly growing voice AI industry. The company has already attracted major technology clients, including Amazon and Logitech, demonstrating early market validation for its technology.

Treble’s platform centers on simulation and synthetic data generation for the voice AI sector. The company offers a synthetic data generation platform specifically designed for speech enhancement, noise suppression, and model training applications. This addresses what Pind describes as a fundamental data challenge in audio AI, offering an alternative to the traditional approach of using recordings and internet-scraped data through accurate physics simulation.

Beyond data generation, Treble has expanded its capabilities to include hardware design and testing from a voice perspective. The company works with headphone and speaker manufacturers on virtual prototyping, helping them understand how their products will sound before physical production. The platform can also simulate and test how smart speakers understand voice commands based on different speaker positioning scenarios.

More recently, Treble has ventured into providing simulation testing specifically for smart glasses and AI devices, representing a strategic move into the wearables market. The company has also partnered with Hugging Face to launch a benchmark for speech recognition models, further establishing its position in the voice AI ecosystem.

Looking ahead, Treble aims to increase its focus on the physical AI space, targeting robotics, automotive, and drone companies. The goal is to enable sound-based functions for these sectors through its testing and simulation platform. Francois Ruether, VP of Paladin Capital Group, emphasized the growing importance of Treble’s infrastructure as more products depend on understanding sound across voice AI, wearables, robotics, and physical AI applications.
