Isar Aerospace scrubbed Europe rocket launch again

Isar Aerospace, a European rocket startup, experienced another setback as a crucial launch attempt for its Spectrum rocket was scrubbed on Monday. The mission, intended to be a significant step for Europe’s commercial space sector, was halted due to “detecting off nominal behavior in the vehicle’s fluid systems,” according to a company statement.

The launch was scheduled to take place at Andøya Spaceport, located in northern Norway. This is not the first time the mission has faced delays, highlighting the challenges faced by emerging companies in the competitive commercial space industry. While Isar Aerospace is reported to be financially sound, it is noted that the company lacks extensive flight experience, a critical currency in space launch operations. The teams at Isar Aerospace are currently analyzing the data gathered to pinpoint the exact cause of the issue with the fluid systems.
